Alpha-fetoprotein – a marker supporting the diagnosis of liver cancer and certain testicular and ovarian cancers. It does not replace imaging studies or oncological consultation.

A marker used in the diagnosis and monitoring of ovarian cancer. The result always requires medical interpretation – it can also be elevated in benign conditions.

An algorithm combining CA-125 and HE4 results, considering menopausal status. Helpful in assessing the risk of malignant adnexal masses.

The free fraction of PSA, measured together with total PSA. Their ratio helps differentiate benign prostatic hyperplasia from cancerous changes.

IgG antibodies produced in the later phase of Borrelia spirochete infection. Helpful in diagnosing past or chronic Lyme disease.

IgM antibodies of the early infection phase. They may appear after a bite from an infected tick and indicate a fresh Lyme disease infection.

A confirmatory test for positive or doubtful ELISA IgG results. Significantly increases the certainty of Lyme disease diagnosis.

A confirmatory IgM test in Lyme disease diagnosis, performed after a positive ELISA IgM result. Important for making a definitive diagnosis.

Measurement of antibodies against the Giardia protozoan, which causes giardiasis. Helpful for chronic gastrointestinal complaints of unclear origin.

IgG antibodies against Epstein-Barr virus (mononucleosis). Indicate a past infection and developed immunity.

IgM antibodies typical for the acute phase of EBV infection. Support the diagnosis of infectious mononucleosis.

IgM antibodies that may appear in the acute phase of infection. Helpful in the diagnosis of atypical respiratory infections.
